Get a soil test prior to application for best recommendation. Almonds season: Bud break usually starts the first week in February lasts for 5 to 6 months after full bloom/leaf. The season runs until August harvest. Usually100 trees/acre.
POST HARVEST/Winterize in the fall put down enough product to penetrate the root zone. 1. EWC Earthworm Casting granules - 2 cups to 4 cups/tree. Manually applied or trenched in. 2. Micro-Nutrient 16 to 24 oz/acre concentrate 3. LEC Liquid Earthworm Castings 6 to 12 oz/acre liquid concentrate 4. Soil Conditioner to 1 gallon/acre concentrate
Mix all 3 liquid concentrates together add enough water to spray apply to the root zone or run together in the drip, fan jet or sprinkler system. For flood irrigation the products need to be spray applied just prior to flooding. APPLICATIONS
EARLY SPRING February - 1st application when tree starts to bud. Usually the 1st week in February. Apply an initial foliar/fog application of: Micro-Nutrient LEC Liquid Earthworm Castings 6 to 12 oz/acre concentrate Soil Conditioner Mix products together with water 35 to 100 gallons/acre and apply as a foliar spray.
2nd application 30 to 45 days later. Foliar/Fog spray at full bloom when tree is generally leafed out (usually last of February to 1st part of March. Apply a foliar/fog application of: Micro-Nutrient LEC Liquid Earthworm Castings 6 to 12 oz/acre concentrate Mix products together with water 35 to 100 gallons/acre and apply as a foliar spray.
Then repeat the 2nd application formula every 30 to 45 days as desired through the season until 60 days prior to harvest.
Notes: Amounts of product vary depending on condition of trees and soil. Size of tree makes a difference, larger trees may need more. Smaller trees may need as little less.
RESULTS - Yield increases and healthier trees. The soil gets better every year. How it works - The root system will grow first and then the tree and then the nut.
Salt index may be lowered as a result of microbial activity as it turns on organic material in the soil. |
